Robert was born in the Philippines. He pursued a college degree in Central Philippine University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1992. He became a Registered Electrical Engineer after passing the licensing board exam in one shot. He worked in his home country as Building Maintenance Electrician to Maintenance Engineering position for about 3 years.
In December 1995, he moved to Brunei Darussalam as a single professional. He worked as an Electrical Project Engineer, managing multi-million projects. He successfully managed 17 high-rise condominiums from ground breaking to final hand-over to client. His work included supplies, installation, testing and commissioning of all buildings’ internal & external electrical services. It was in Brunei where he got married.
In September 1999, he moved to New Jersey, USA, with his wife and a Brunei-born daughter to get re-united with his parents and 4 other siblings who were residents there. He first worked as a Process Engineer in a Thermistor Manufacturing Firm in Springfield, NJ dealing with R&Ds & upgrading of process equipments. He discovered & developed his greatest strength in both theoretical & practical application in a complex Industrial electrical field. Later on, as a Lead Industrial Electrician in Food Industry, he was deeply involved in preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, upgrading & control panel building for process equipments’ electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic system.
He finally moved with his wife and 2 daughters to Surrey BC Canada, as landed immigrants in July of 2006 & later became a productive Canadian Citizen of the country. He worked in Vancouver as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing plant and later as a Journeyman Electrician in the Canadian government transportation facility, Maintenance Department. While working at the same time, he took an Electrical Course in BCIT, and the Canadian Electrical Code Course in Douglas College in Surrey in pursuit of his dream to become a competent Electrical Contractor. He is fully equipped with all needed certificates and had passed the required licensing examinations. Along with his varied work experiences, he is also a Red Seal Electrician and a Field Safety Representative, FSR Class B under BC Safety Authority.
